When you do home interior you want everything to be best and you add your personal touch to each and every element.
Name Plates for your door are one of the most important parts of your home interior.
In this post, we will see how to make a handmade nameplate for doors.
Step -1 Select Material for your handmade nameplate.
The first step to create your own nameplate is to select a base material for your nameplate. There are various elements you can choose from. The most popular and easily available base material is a hard cardboard sheet or cardboard from an old carton box.

Step -2 Mark the width of the nameplate.
On that cardboard, mark around 10 inches which will be our nameplate width.

Step -3 Mark the shape of the nameplate.
Make ‘S’ shape on the cardboard to give the initial shape of the nameplate.

Step -4 Cut the shape of the nameplate.
Use a paper cutter to cut the final shape of the nameplate.

Step -5 We now have two pieces of the nameplate ready.

Step -6 Remove the top layer of the smaller cutout.
This will help us get a rough layer on the top to give it a rough look after paint.

Step -7 Paste the smaller cutout on the base cardboard.

Step -8 Create a random pattern on the base cardboard.
Use some fevicol or any other glue tube to make some random pattern on the base cardboard and let it dry.

Step -9 Create a rope boundary around the cardboard.
Apply some glue all around the nameplate base cardboard and stick a nylon rope all around the borders of the nameplate.

Step -10 Create letters for the Nameplate.
Use some craft clay or M-Seal (plumbing seal) to create letters of the nameplate.

Step -11 Play with your creativity to add some more elements.

Step -12 Start coloring the base with acrylic colors.
Don’t make to too complicated for yourself, you can use simple plain colors.

Your final Nameplate after coloring should look like this.
